Grand Opening Party and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for $70 million 1201 Canal Condominium Development

NEW ORLEANS‐ Mayor Ray Nagin will join Elie Khoury, Principal of KFK Group, along with other elected officials, national and local business leaders, and community and civic leaders for the Grand Opening of 1201 Canal Condominium Development (the former Krauss Department Store). The Grand Opening Events include a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, tours of condominium and penthouse model units, and a large Grand Opening celebration with New Orleans cuisine, cocktails, and live entertainment featuring Kermit Ruffins, Sharon Martin, Michael Ward and Topsy Chapman among others. The party will include multiple receptions in the Building’s Main Floor, Rooftop Pool and Penthouse Patio levels.
The KFK Group has pioneered residential development along Canal Street with the completion of 1201 Canal Condominiums, a $70 million, 233 unit luxury project that will serve as a catalyst for the future downtown development and continued transformation of Canal Street.
